Ashby Church of England Primary School is situated in the heart of the National Forest in Ashby de la Zouch. We aim, through our core values, to provide all our children with an exciting start to their education in a school which cares, guides, stimulates and supports everyone in our school community. We have high standards of expectation in both work and behaviour which is reflected in our end of Key Stage results and our current Ofsted grading of Good. Our staff and Governors are dedicated in aiming for all of our children to achieve the very best they can in all aspects of their lives.
As a Church of England School we have excellent links with our local church, Holy Trinity and our vicar Rev Tim Phillips. Our Church of England status is at the heart of the caring ethos of our school community, which welcomes everyone regardless of faith.
'The distinctiveness and effectiveness of Ashby Primary as a Church of England school are outstanding. View the SIAMS inspection report in full.
Our school currently has 303 pupils on role which we organise into four teams; Foundation Stage, Year 1 and 2, Year 3 and 4 and Year 5 and 6. Our curriculum is designed to enable our children to see the links between subjects in a practical, fun and relevant way with a focus on basic skills in literacy and maths.
