We will be holding an annual Open Evening on September 25th 2018 for those children due to start school in September 2019, if you would like to come along please book your place with the office on 01530 412243. The evening will run from 6.30pm in the school hall and will last about an hour.
During the session our Headteacher will give prospective parents a guide to what our school can offer, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and have a look around.
Parents are also encouraged to contact school and make an appointment for an individual guide round school with our Headteacher. This provides an excellent opportunity to see our school in action, visiting all classrooms with plenty of time to ask questions.
We have a fantastic new foundation stage building and outdoor learning environment which has further enhanced our already excellent provision. It was opened in June this year by Bishop Guli of Loughborough.
Ashby Church of England Primary School is situated in the heart of the National Forest in Ashby de la Zouch. We are a nut and sesame free school and expect all our families to support this policy. We aim, through our core values, to provide all our children with an exciting start to their education in a school which cares, guides, stimulates and supports everyone in our school community. We have high standards of expectation in both work and behaviour which is reflected in our end of Key Stage results and our current Ofsted grading of Good. Our staff and Governors are dedicated in aiming for all of our children to achieve the very best they can in all aspects of their lives.
As a Church of England School we have excellent links with our local church, Holy Trinity and our vicar Rev Tim Phillips. Our Church of England status is at the heart of the caring ethos of our school community, which welcomes everyone regardless of faith.
'The distinctiveness and effectiveness of Ashby Primary as a Church of England school are outstanding. View the SIAMS inspection report in full.
