Term Time Absence

If your child is absent from school please remember to notify the school office on each day of your child's absence. If we do not hear from you, the school office will text you to contact the school as soon as possible.

Please ensure that your child arrives into school on time daily as lateness can impact on attendance figures. (Foundation Stage begin at 8:45am and KS1 and KS2 begin at 8:50am promptly)

Under the changes of the 2006 Educational Regulations, holidays in term time will not be authorised except under exceptional circumstances. Any reference to Headteachers being able to allow up to ten days for hoildays has been removed.

Our current attendance is at 95% our target to achieve is 97%. Pupil absence is continually monitored and our Headteacher contacts parents/carers directly to address the cause for concern.

Absence requests

If you wish to request a term time absence you can request a paper copy from the office or download and complete the form here absence request form,  and email back to ashbyce@ashbyce.leics.sch.uk.
