Free School Meals

Is you child entitled to received Free School Meals?

Dont miss out on receiving the benefit of free school meals if you are eligible. You could save over £400, the cost of a school dinner every day of the school year.

The school will benefit too, as we receive a pupil premium grant for each child who is eligible for free school meals. This is used to support your child’s learning.

If you are in receipt of one of the following benefits, you can apply for Free School Meals:

• Income Support OR Income-Based Job Seeker’s Allowance

• Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)

• The Guarantee Element of state Pension Credit

• Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

• Income Related Employment and Support Allowance

• Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit

• Universal Credit – with an annual household income less than £7,400 (after tax and not including any benefits you get)

 

Applying is quick and easy, you can ring the School Food Support team at Leicestershire County Council directly on 0116 3055417 alternatively you can apply online at  www.gov.uk/apply-free-school-meals.

HAFF Vouchers 

FSM eligiblity will entitle your child to receive free Holiday Activity vouchers to use at the end of each term.

You will automatically receive the vouchers prior to each end of term.
