Wraparound Care clubs

Our Before and After School Wraparound clubs are run by enthusiastic, experienced and qualified members of the school staff team.  Children can choose from a selection of fun activities whilst making new friends in an informal and safe setting and creating an excellent start to the day.

Activities vary each day and selections made by the staff are often driven by requests from the children that attend.  The Club leaders will always do their best to ensure that sessions are enjoyable for everyone.

Breakfast club

Our Breakfast club runs from 7.30am to 8.50am, drop off can be made at any time in between. Breakfast club supervised by dedicated school staff. Mrs Sargent is club leader and Mrs Ensor is club assistant.

We provide a healthy, nutritious breakfast and a safe, secure environment for the children to enjoy fun activities and meet friends outside of the classroom. There is a Homework corner which provides an opportunity for children to access Numbots and TT Rockstar homework tasks on school iPads, time allowed on iPad's is limited due to popularity and is supervised and rota based.  Breakfast club is a great way to start the school day.  

Breakfast is included, children can choose 3 items from a tasty selection of cereal, yogurt, toast with butter, jam or marmalade, beans on toast and drinks of fruit juice milk or water. To allow sufficient time for clearing away, children must arrive before 8.05am to receive a breakfast.

Parents must accompany their child to Breakfast club and enter by the School Hall doors. At the start of the school day, children in EYFS will be taken to their classroom by Breakfast club staff.

KS1 & KS2 children will line up until being dismissed then make their way to their classrooms.

The cost of Breakfast club is £7 per session

After School Club

After School Club runs from 3.20pm to 5.30pm, collection can be made at any time in between. We have a team of school staff running the After School Club. Mrs Russell is our club leader and Mrs Sargent & Mrs Draper are club assistants.

Ace club is friendly and welcoming, with activities such as creative play, film time, indoor and outdoor games (weather permitting). There is a Homework corner which provides an opportunity for children to access Numbots and TT Rockstar homework tasks on school iPads, time allowed on iPad's is limited due to popularity and is supervised and rota based. We also create a space for reading and relaxing if they prefer quiet time. Light refreshments are provided.

All teachers have access to after school registers/bookings so they know who will be attending. Staff in EYFS will take the pupils on their register to the hall, straight after school. Older children will make their own way to the hall.

Numbers are strictly limited

Due to health, safety and operational constraints numbers are strictly limited. ARBOR will restrict bookings when capacity is reached. We will not be able to accommodate a child that does not have a booking.

Breakfast club

If your child arrives at Breakfast club without a booking and there is availability you will need to make a booking before leaving them at the club. A verbal booking or no booking at all will be charged at session fee + £5.    

ACE Club

If a child arrives at ACE club after school without a booking the parent/guardian will be contacted at the start of the session, if these is no availability you will be required to collect your child from reception. If there is availability you will be asked to make a booking at the time of the phone call.  A verbal  booking or no booking at all will be charged at session fee + £5.  

Childcare Vouchers & Government Tax Free scheme

We accept payment by childcare vouchers inc. the Government Tax free scheme, we will top up your account with your voucher value to your ARBOR account. Please note that due to the work involved in processing a voucher payment we are setting a minimum voucher value of £100.

Please make arrangements for voucher payments in plenty of time. We aim to process these as soon as we can but we recommend that you allow at least 5 school working days for your payment to be processed and appear in ARBOR.

For each payment you will need to supply the information below (email to: r.burton@ashbyce.leics.sch.uk).

• Name of child 

• Name of voucher provider

• Voucher amount

• Payment reference number (one for each child if more than 1)

• Payment date

Pupil Premium charges

Those eligible for pupil premium will be charged at a discounted rate. The discounted rate will be displayed to those eligible when you access the club to make a club booking on ARBOR.

Opening and Closing times

Breakfast Club: Opens at 7.30am

After School Club: Doors shut at 5.30pm

Late collections

Collections after closing time will be charged at £3 per 5 mins + £3 admin fee, to cover additional admin and club staff time incurred for a late collection.

Pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

If your child has additional needs (such as an EHCP), please speak to a Co-Headteacher or the SENDCo before booking so that we can establish whether or not their needs can be met at Breakfast or ACE club.

Cancellations

Once a session is booked and paid for you will not be able to cancel it through ARBOR. To do this you will need to contact the school office. 2 full days notice prior to the session is required for cancellations, this is to avoid parents being unable to book when club is full.

Credit or Refunds

No refunds/credits will be given for unattended sessions, this includes absence due to illness and booking errors. Numbers are strictly limited Due to health, safety and operational constraints numbers are strictly limited. ARBOR will restrict bookings when capacity is reached. 

Unbooked sessions or verbal/late bookings

will be charged at session fee + £5.

Late collections after closing time

will be charged at £3 at the start of each 5 mins after 5.30pm + £3 admin fee. 

We constantly monitor and review our wraparound care provision and the detail above is subject to change at any time. Parents will be notified in advance if any changes are planned. For Health and Safety reasons the car park is for Staff use ONLY. Please do not use the school car park at any time, this includes dropping your child off for Breakfast club and collecting from After School club.
